peacock bass names

Recently purchased a peacock bass but the lfs said his supplier only gave him the name of spotted peacock bass. I would upload a photo but my camera cable is missing. He is about 2 inches now and was eating at the lfs. Just wondering if this is a common name for a certain species. lemme no

The only name that comes to mind would be Cichla Temensis

LOL he turned out to be a 22 dollar feeder fish. not to sure who did it but could have been the jardini/pacu.
he was only 2 inchs so that could have been the case hopefully there are still more at the lfs because they are pretty seasonal up here
