I have had a pair of pb for the past 9 months and they will not grow. Right now they are in a 125 and have tons of room but will not top the 4" mark. They eat all foods, Live, pellets, etc but will not put on any size. Any suggestions to spark some growth. I have a larger sa ca fish in a 5000 gal pond that I want to eventually move them to.

I do a 10% about every week to 10 days, I have an fluval fx5 and also an aquaclear 110 and a power head for water movement

What is your feeding schedule? What size were they when you brought them?
How often do you change your water? How much water do you change at one time? Also do you know what sp. Peacock's you own?

The should hae grown an inch a month with the proper condition's. The only evedience that I know of to date that will stunt them is lack of tank space.

They were about 2-3 inches when I brought them home. They are with a 5" silver dat. and a 8" tsn. They have plenty of room. I feed small amounts often. I give them everything from small golds, brine, mysis, bloodworms, and pellets. 2 x's a day but in smaller amounts. 10% changes about every week to 10 days

I'd recommend doing approx 40% water change weekly.
I haven't owned peacock bass, but any other tank i own i strive for 40% weekly. Occasionally getting off schedule but I get good growth out of my fish at 40%.

How long has it been setup? Anything else in the tank?
and like he said what is the feeding schedule?

See above, I'll try larger water changes. Thanks for the help guys, sorry dont know what sp they are either. Im new with the sa fish. Always been on the African side or salt. Ill post pics as soon as i can

They need very large WC and need to be feed more then 2 x a day. There feeding should be 5 x a day when that young at least until they hit the 8'' mark which they should have already hit 4 month's ago.

I was doing 75% 3x a week on my 150g and before that 50% 3x a week on my grow out 55g. I would increase the amount of water you change.

Is they any reason that your changing the water on such a low frequency or low amount?

No reason I have always done smaller changes but this is the first time I've gotten into larger freshwater fish. I can do larger changes with no prob. Is there any food that you recomend over others?

No everything you listed is great but I feel that you should feed them more frequently. What temp is your tank atm?

I will say that I feed my Cichla exclusivly feeders in there younger size 3'' till 8'' but I mixed in Blood worms and Shrimp as well. But 80% feeders is in order to bulk them up. We have member's on here who have done great with feeding non live as well. And there cichla look great and have grown as well as mine have.
