I've noticed some weird behavior from my 4 of my Bass. They swim along and then rub there bodies against the gravel. What may cause this behavior and what should I do?

Far from what the two other posted. They are just "flashing". If you got a itch, scratch it. Just like Datnoids. They will flash with out any thing wrong with them. Just keep on doing what you are doing and they will be fine.

Yeah, cichla does it a lot bro. Just as much as dats.

BUT, if there is redding in/around the gills, then that is something to worry about.

Ok good info never kept cichla that long, hopefully getting a nice rm orino though if my dats dont fight it

Depending on size of both fish.

Dats are about 8-13 inches and the orino is maybe 12. It one of callens old orinos

Oh, yes....your Orino will hold its own.

Sorry op, the flashing in normal.
