In the fish section LOL
Ok,
I have asked this question many times before but i need a reason why what i am doing is not working.

I have 3 small peacock bass in a 29 gallon tank GROWOUT the tank temp is
86* They are being fed 3 times daily freeze dried krill live sometimes as a treat.
They have maby grown 1" since i got them 3 months ago i dont know why they are not growing water changes are being done every 5 days and the tank is clean
i want to get them in my main tank with the BIG fish but they are falling behind BIG fish are growing like mad and i need to get them in there eventually and i want to see them in all colors in a big tank as a group

any suggestions?

feed them more live FISH than you do krill, use FISH as a staple until they start growing faster..then start offering krill again, while still feeding them FISH

If your lfs has convicts for sale as feeders, use them. High in protein. Also feed fatty fish like Fatheads, and feed smaller meals more often. A varied diet is key to good health, but keep the fatty stuff going for maximum growth.

How big are they?

as of now these babies are 3-3.5"

They are probably filling out and then growing. But I've found fd krill although easy to feed doesn't make a good staple food. I've used pellets before with no growth problems for little ones but krill seems lacking. I would switch back to roseys or something for a while.

Mine grew from 1.5" to 3.5" in 3 weeks and all I feed them are feeder fish. I also do a 25% water change every 5 to 6 days.
