Got home from work today to discover that my xingu peacocks have laid eggs! Theydid a rather poor job of getting them all in the same place but oh well...

Some of the eggs
I'm not really interested in trying to raise the spawns, since I really don't have the tank space for baby cichla, but maybe someday!Congrats!
I personally would lay a large piece of slate at the bottom for next spawn.
Awesome, did you do anything special? only have the pair in there? I'd love to some day breed themThey are not mouthbrooders (at least these were not), although evolution has a way of evolving, and spawns can be huge.
