I saw a p. Bass at my lfs. It was 3" long. I know they get up to 29 inches long, but what are some fish you could house with the bass (I'm just curious)? The tank at the lfs was 72"X35"X35".

Thanks!

Yeah, me too.

The store was Putting them in with a group of 5"-8" Discus. Wouldn't the bass bully/ out compete the discus?

Do they school? The store only has 1.

the fish in the store are staying there temporarily so dont rely on their set ups. baby bass and discus can live with each other until the bass get bigger. for obvious reasons.

cichla do well with a very wide range of species, as long as it isn't too aggressive and it wont fit in the bass' mouth, chances are, it will work

so the store could keep a big bass with 8" discus?

it depends on what you consider big, a 10" bass might work with 8" discus, but it might not work out.
an 18" plus bass probably wouldn't work

Good to know. I've been SO tempted all day to pic up the little bass, great fish. If I do pic him up, what are some fish I could keep with him when I get him all quarantined and into some big display tank?

you CAN keep 2 feet bass with full grown discus actually...they wont be eaten.
you'll just have a hard time getting food to the discus.
