  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had a spotted gar with my cichla for about 6 months now with no problems at all. He eats pellets with the bass and isn't scared by them at all. Maybe I'm just lucky.

it has worked,sometimes it hasnt.
ive done it before and had it work, and ive also had a gar get scared by a feeding cichla and kill itself.

Pbass actually co-exist with alot of diff species as long as it is comparable to their own size...

In the wild.. they swim with arowana, oscar, and other cichlid..... interestingly... in the amazon basin.. the bottom dwellers/scavengers are piranhas.... so its really hard to say what work and what doesnt.. but in an aquarium.. u just have to use ur personal judgment and taking risk... thats what fish keeping is....

From what i've seen people do.. Pbass with Dats, and Geos along with pike fish...

But i do suggest a bigger tank for the pbass.... they do get huge..

Does any one have expirience with cichla and discus???

Doubt anything long term. Maybe if you had a large tank full of discus and maybe one small bass.

Yeah. I'm so torn between what I should do!
Maybe I should settle for a nice green terror or something...

The one with my archer fish is very peaceful and calm.

Sorry, I meant green terror cichlid.
