hey im not sure if this has been covered but i was looking into getting a red ear slider turtle and just wanted to know if it could go in with my peacocks
i know there common over there so i thought someone might of tried it

thanks heaps

Red ear sliders will bite the pbass.
RES are notorious fish-eaters.
And very messy.
I would say No.

If your keen on a turtle to mix with your bass, try frt's or pig nose turtles, you have a waay better chance for that to work.

well it depends on the sizes...i found peacock to be smart and fast swimmers compared to red ears..well nothing is ever certain

ok then i might give it a miss
i would like a pig nose but when people want like $700-1500 for one i will give it a miss
maybe oneday

why dont you concentrate on some nice gambusia instead....(ha ha)
dont you look on ace anymore?????????
i'll tell you were if you dont take them all!!

How about soft-shelled turtles?

yeah I have softshells! If i where to be asked which one is better? a pignose or a softshell? I would go for softshells in terms of price, but if money is not a big deal, then i will have them both hehehehe

The main diet of softshell turtles is fish. I've never heard of any luck mixing them with fish except in very large tanks and ponds.

My parents had one years ago with oscars and pacus that's why I asked.
