just got my first bass and he is 12 inch long just wondering what to feed him and how long before he settles in.thanks.

:when i had one that big i would purchase 4 6-7 inch comets a week that he would inhale...soooooooooooooooooo much fun!!!
Here is what I do, some might not agree, but it works for me...
Go get about 5 dozen Fathead minnows from your local bait and tackle store. Feed those to him the first two weeks to get him nice and fattened up and used to your tank. From there you can transfer him over to prepared foods or continue feeding live. Fathead Minnows are 75 cents a dozen at my local bait store... Hope this helps...

cheers guys gonna give it another day and try river shrimp to see if he eats at the moment theres a small fish in there with him but he is not intrested
can they look after themselfs with cichlids and is a 6ftx 26 wide and 30 inch deep tank big enough at the moment
