looks like mono to me...i've had a few and they looked just like that as juvies..

I would have gone temensis but not an expert at all

He is looking quite pale now but he will be a dam good looking fish when he grows up
I just wish i had space for one

If it was labeled as "Peacock Bass" at your lfs it is almost certainly a farm raised hybrid.
