Yah so never rasied babys only thing I kno is feed them brine shrimp can anyone help what do I do with them I have them in a 2 split betta tank (took the divder out) and then have a bubbler in there thats not very strong and some fake grass from the tank they came from for hiding.. now to keep them alive healthy and grow them is there ne thing special I need to do? (I just pulled them out today, apparently not all the fry got eaten like I had thought and a week later here I am I have 3 babys!! :woot: )

im not sure if you need to do anything particular for this sp, but sounds like your doing everything right at the moment. congrats on them though!

Sounds like a good set up so far. You could also try crushed flake food for small fry. It's worked well in the past for me. I've got about 50 dempsy babies right now that are being fed that way.

What kind of filter?

When I would have african babies, I would just raise them up on finely crused flake food. They are pretty easy to raise.

I agree, just powdered flake food worked, BBS will make them grow in a hurry, I usually had a 10g tank set up with a sponge over the intake tube, As long as you make sure the food is small enough for them to eat, they should do fine for you. Try to keep the water conditions as good as you can to have healthy fish. Congrats!

thanks, I ll try the flake foods, and make sure they are tiny tiny. They in a betta thing so no filter just air pump with an airstone, thats not extremely strong, but strong enough so nothing to get them sucked up in - I dont have any spare tanks at all or they would be in one I ran out, so for now thats is the best I can do.

Sounds like you are doing a good job then.

I try the flaked food really finely crushed up but I dont see them going after it, will they eat it later or they just not hungry?? how often do I feed them?
