peacock eel and khuli loach compatability?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have been housing some peacock eels and kuhli loaches together. I planned on moving the kuhlis out of there but they were too hard to catch so I just let them take their chances. Well I haven't seen them in a while and I'm pretty sure they're dead. Likely culprits would be the eels, but there's also a black ghost knife in there. There are also oto's in there that have not been touched.

edit: Nevermind.. I saw a kuhli swimming around. Who knows.

she also could be the culprit...

I don't know.. I'm up to my neck in fish aggression and predation that I don't know where is coming from. Both of my big angelfish have bite-marks all over their bodies.. it could just be from eachother but i don't know, I never see it happening. My snakehead betta and my scarlett badis in my other tank both have severely nipped tails. It's so frustrating. I did see one kuhli loach though so I'm assuming all three are in there.

i know peacock eels have small mouths and that baby peacocks will be fine with khuli loaches. but im worried that if i get one, as it gets to adulthood it will finally have a mouth big enough to eat my black khuli loaches. thoughts? how big do peacocks get in the aquarium and how long do they typically take grow.. how many inches a year?

They can get to around 16" my 5" and 8" eats anything that looks like a worm including my khulis that I had:(:banghead:
