maybe its a striped peacock eel? its different from the common peacock eel. they rather get big i mean 25 inch big.

COULD a peacock eel eat live fish : NO not unless they were fry peacock eels have very small mouths even a 9'' peacock eels would only eat a tiny fish it could mabye choak down guppy but tetras are safe

What other fish are being kept with the tetras ?

peacock eels and striped peacock eels are different eels i own a striped peacock eel and he eats everything that he can get in his mouth striped peacock eels also get bigger
