So i got my Eel(peacock) 3 days ago and all he does is sit in his log. He won't eat anything i tried Bloodworms and shrimp. When he is out of the log he swims against the glass bending his nose swimming up and down. Please help

I have had him for 4 days now i tried earthworms shrimp bloodworms flakes.He goes up against the glass pushing hard and like trilling around. Whats that about?
put a little bit of water in a bucket with a cube of bloodworms. fill a gravel vac like your gonna vaccum the gravel only hold the bucket above the tank and put the other end near the hide. its the only way mine would ever eat
Well he is still adjusting to his new tank so dont stress too much!!! Fish can go a long time without eating! Peacock eels are also noctrunal so you might have a hard time watching it eat. Do you have other fish in the tank with it? If no then place a small bowl in the bottom of the tank with blood worms (if frozen thaw first in tank water before putting in bowl) before you turn the lights off at night. If you have other fish in the tank I'd put the blood worms in a prerinced bottle (big enough for your eel) and sink it to the bottom of the tank and then turn the lights off. Whatever you do dont keep putting tons of food in the tank cuz you'll polute your water!
hey first of all. Peacock eels are very curious and intelligent in my opinion. been keeping mine for a while now. They do not settle into a tank for at least id say 3 weeks based on my experience. They will keep trying to escape so cover ALL holes, literally even a inch wide hole and they will get out, trust me. Also, if u are having trouble getting him to eat, try live earthworms. Had my peacock for a while now and that is the only thing he has ever eaten, but he loves them so im fine with that. Give him time to setttle in, try live earthworms and give him a hiding place if u dont have a sand substrate so he can dig. Goodluck!
mine only eats live earthworms and blackworms try some blackworms it should like that just out of curiosity what tankmates does it have
mine is constantly buried under the gravel lol....never seen him eat but had him months now so he must be eating. they get live shrimp, bloodworm, daphnia often, so he must do it while im not looking lol.
