Mind if I ask what you feed those guys and what kind of flow you have? I’m seriously thinking about getting a couple
These guys eat literally anything and get a diet of NLS veggie, bloodworms, brine shrimp, veggie flakes, krill, Bug Bites, etc
They don’t need much flow at all..they’re found in tiny springs with extreme temps and salinities. Their range is like from the low 40’s to over 100 degrees!
I keep them at room temp and have them spread out in two different tanks. One group’s is an all in one tank with filtration behind a false wall and the other has a sponge filter. Mine seem to like it better in the low flow sponge filter environment but are doing equally well.
I once had a pair breed in my zebra pleco tank at 86 degrees and massive flow with no issues.

Yep, had no issues and fry hatched and were fine in fresh. Update if you get some
One other question, how long can they handle low temperatures? I’m thinking about going heaterless and the tank will be in the garage which stays 45-50 in the winter and 85-90 in the summer.
Mine are indoors but the guy I got them from keeps his outside year round with no issues and he has similar temp swings as yours. A long as it’s slow seasonal temp changes, i think they should be able to adapt.
