peacock x fire eel?

can peacocks and fire eels spawn to create a hybrid? I bought what was labeled as a striped peacock eel but it doesnt look like any i've seen, it looks more like a fire eel but it isnt black all the way down its body plus the red and yellow stripes fade and turn to red spots toward the tail...I have a pic on my camera but i cant find my cord to upload it to the pc...i do have one on my cell phone ill post up in a minute though.

when i find my camera cord ill post better pics that you can see the spots toward its tail and the more brown also instead of black

Probably just a fire eel. There can be variance in a fire eel. To my knowledge, all the fire eels and peacock eels are still being wild caught, at least for the most part, VERY unlikely that they hybridized in the wild.

Just saw the pic, so far it looks like a fire eel
