hello I currently have a 48x15x24 tank with mbuna such as yellow labs, red zebras and kenyi's couldi add peacocks to the mix as i have seen some nice ones in my lfs or would they not get along?

i wouldn`t do that if i were you. Mbuna are much more aggressive then peacocks and they prefer different habitats, mbuna rocky outcroppings and peacocks prefer open sand beds with some cover. It could possibly work but i would not try it in a 55 size tank. But there is a similar group of haps called protomyleas which are similar to peacocks bt are much more robust. If you wanted to try you could possibly add a male protomyleas as it is far more likely to work then an aulonocara

While they can get along, the two come from different settings so it really is up to you. If you're asking if they're going to kill each other, your answer is no. If you're asking if they'll all be happy with each other, that is questionable and is different for each individual fish.

You can mix them but when the mbunas mature to adulthood, they will bully the peacocks and stress them out until they get bloat. Then you will has a mess in your hands trying to cure the bloat.

It all depends.
The male Kenyi get super aggressive when they are fully grown in my experience. You might have trouble with them. I had a male Kenyi in a 180 gallon that tried to claim about 1/2 the tank for himself.. If there wasn't room for the others to retreat, they might've been injuried. When I put my hand in the tank, he would charge and bite it. I have had other Kenyi that were less aggressive, but they still claim a lot of space. So keep an eye on that, regardless of what you add.. I would not recommend a Kenyi in anything smaller than a 75.. Not to be harsh, just trying to warn you.

In general, yes, you can mix Mbuna and Peacocks. A lot depends on the temperment of the mbuna and the size of the tank.
