That's cool if they're found in the wild in the same area then you should be ok. Someone said they weren't so I thought maybe they really weren't in that area. Bass like high temps like 82-84, not sure in the wild there in florida what the lowest temp is. But midnight was going to do the same thing about two weeks ago on a much bigger scale and juantumad added some good info on temps and stuff you should look for it. it was in this section.

well recently down here hasnt been so cold as much as last year. but i guess 40ish is pretty cold. but being that the cold is leaving soon itd be fine but if naything id deff get a heater for back up just incase something like this happend

But also the pond would be placed in shade with enough space for lighting to get in
that will make it colder in the winter.lol

to cold for a shallow pond i would say.

ya they would be ok for the summer.
thats what i might do with mine.
but mine will be big by then.
the big ones handle cold better, but still need it warm.
im sure mine wouldnt make it or there would be some as north as i am. :irked:

heat vs winters=$$$$$ i would guess :irked:
go native, lmb, tilapia, gills, cats, throw some koi in there, mosquito fish.
thats whats in my pond + more :D

current pond is a 150,i think,4x3x1.5.
next few months i will be making a 8x4x2,think 500g.
mine are above ground, made of wood.
in there now is
koi
dollar sunfish
armored catfish
plecos
lots of big mosquito fish
misc. top minnows
mayan cichlids
bluegills
bullhead
tilapia
and im sure i missed someone.
the 2 koi are the biggest, rest are small.
koi is the only thing i bought,i caught the rest. :D

dude, post in the buy and sell section. why hijack people's threads when you could start your own?

i think you should do natives aswell. they are cheap, pretty, and interesting. in that size pond you could get some pike. that would be wicked:headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2
