i had them for a short time at 3-4" and the large mouth was wild caught, he was bullying the two pbass whenever he wanted. didn't beat them up aggressively but would chase them away.
Ive had them together with no problems.. Had 5 pbass and a LMB for a long while in a 75, but they are now in the 1100 gallon pond and are still living together happily. LMB would bully the smaller cichla, but nothing horrible...
my 4" lmb lives with a 2" pbass and hey do fine together, the lmb will slowly swim up to the peacock and not act aggressive at all but the pbass still gets scred and hides, its kinda funny
Ceeej31's pbass was eaten by the lmb recently. He noticed that one of the bass looked like a pbass with a larger mouth. Well, he pulled it out of the lmb and SURPRISE!!! the lmb ate the pbass. If they are both the same size, they can definetly survive together in a LARGE tank. Dont do what he did. If you want to see the thread it is under peacock bass which is under tropical cichlids
what really happened was, i cheacked on the tank, saw the pbass' tail hanging out of the lmb's mouth, i netted out the lmb, and gently removed the pbass, but i was too late oh well
