with a lot of silver arrow's if you put any other fish in with them they tend to get drop eye. not a killer disease but looks kinda F'ed up imo.

You could keep just about anything that isn't bite-sized or super-aggressive with a silver aro. If you want to keep with a south american theme try geophagus, uaru, severums, heckelii, etc.

Its not caused from having other fish in the same tank, most silvers will get drop-eye regardless of what you do with them.

Silvers can go with most any SA/CA cichlids, just make sure the aro is a least 10" long and 2x the length of the cichlid and you will have very little if any problems.

I like the look of
Oscars
Severums
Uaru
Psittacus
Large Geo's (altifrons, Heckelii, abilos, etc)
p-bass (although if your tank is only a 150 it is not nearly big enough for these)

blood parrots are hideous.

eartheaters are attractive and peaceful, and a lot more interesting than sevs IMO.

If I can find a bigger tank I'll consider pbass/cichlia... I'm thinking geos, and uarus now. But this week I am picking up a feifeng, and a clown knife.

That'll be interesting, you can watch the fei feng suck the life right out of your little arowana:screwy:

As a side note, your link don't work:ROFL:
