Pearl progression

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Made very nice adults Scot. Don't think they are now the finished article, they will change again albeit much slower, the changes will not be as drastic however, but change they will.

Nice update!

Much appreciated...actually, at 4 yrs plus they are just starting to develop a bit of the 5 star pattern within the spots.

The pearl pair looks great Scott! Really hope he got her this time for ya.

For sure!!!

I moved her back to the female/pup tank which also houses the male Estrella...
For the first time I actually watched him latch onto her in a desire to breed.
Hopefully, the male Pearl already got her, but I hear Castexi x Pearl hybrids are quite amazing also...so Im good either way. Lol

This is exactly what I am talking about. The big pattern wont change but fine detail will appear Scot, what you will experience throughout keeping Pearls is that the base colour can change for long periods.....you can never get bored with Pearls, they give you something different.

Good luck with them, they are a very nice pair.

Wow. The progression photos are fantastic and really show the changes they go through and the full potential they can obtain. Fantastic.
Pearls have never been my first choice, even though I really like them, but seeing these photos has made me think I need some pearls in my life. Thanks Scott, thanks very much, how am I supposed to tell my wife I want to set up yet another large system to keep MORE rays?! I hold you personally responsible for the potential breakdown of my marriage due to fishkeeping lol!
