This pair that produced this pup of Lee's is renowned for producing white pups even though the parents are darker, obviously a genetic thing. Because of this the pups used to be shipped to Asia I am told where they fetched silly amounts of money before the recession which has hammered prices down, not just with rays but everything really.

Because of this I went to an awful lot of trouble to get them and I have to say they are amongst my favourite rays, I never get tired of looking at their intricate patterns.
To answer your question.
It is true that these pups can start off fairly dark and then change the base colour within a few months to a much lighter look, its incredible to see the changes, this is why the one Lee now has managed to slip the eagle eye of the Aquaman..LOL!!...Lee will love the fact he got one over me..lol, one thing is for sure you guys will be able to watch its progress as like me Lee rarely sells his rays and gives them the best care they could possibly have so it should be around for many years to come.
