i'm about a hour away from gz.

nice nice, definitely a good place to check out for fish. If you are looking for something in particular i may be able to help you out. i'm quite curious if you will be able to just put your bag of fish in your luggage and fly off with it. maybe it's just me but i never heard of anything like this haha. but then again you're right i never heard of any rules of not being allowed. I just would figure the issue would be the same as dogs/cats. those require some sort of permit or smth i'm sure.

in airlines term of carriage for those i checked, reference made only for dogs and cats... none for fishes

And it seems it may be possible to bring some fishes out of china.. keyword valuable

Maybe i will buy a separate luggage and try

interesting. I wonder what they classify as " valuable animals " haha. curious if theres a price range or certain animals etc.

yea I doubt I can do that coming back into the states. even from state to state I worry that they might confiscate the fish and im stuck then to fly without it I read people used to do it but im sure that's pre 9/11.. anyone do this in the states??

i'm just worried about like fines and fees possible jail time if caught. I dont think its a simple slap on the wrist and they take your fish away.

I just called Guangzhou Baiyun Airport customs... they say they don't bother... they say it depends solely on airline company
