Can’t figure out what’s going on with my pearl ray. Seems weak and lethargic. Eats a little but not like he used to.

He seems to be having trouble staying flat on the bottom.

Water parameters are good via API test kit. I have a female BD hybrid that can be mildly aggressive and hover over other rays. Wondering if she is stressing the Pearl or if the pearl could potentially be sick.

Thank you all in advance for any help! B03736AD-D9B1-4634-B1A7-B0863331E5C9.jpeg0675DF98-2B5A-42C4-820E-B2D20DC6B203.jpeg4828C9BC-796C-41C9-B3A1-0CB207814CF1.jpeg

A vid would be better to help understand.
But I have had similar with Pearls. Is this a young one (looks it). Have you treated for flukes/parasites?

No flukes as both gills seem to be ‘breathing’ fine. I treated with Metro and Prazi for parasites. But of course the possibility is always there. I will get a video after work. I’ll try to record one of these ‘playful attacks’ from the hybrid BD. She might have to be removed due to aggression

Any word on how this is going? Have you tried worms or worm juice? I'd suggest soaking whatever your proprietary food is, in a 1:1 mixture of crushed(we're talking like a paste) and water in the fridge for about 30 minutes and hucking the food in after. If that fails, try live worms. Let me know if it works out for ya.

- as a side note, I've not ever had a ray stop eating due to aggression (even mating bites/harassment) so I wouldn't necessarily rule out other causes.
