They get some at night but im not comfortable with howuch he eats. Feel like overfeeding will lead toore issues doen the road... i actually stsrted feeding him less becausr of this

He's getting big now, you could do a divider. leave 1/2 inch gap between the divider and the tank walls and it'll be real easy to just drop in, feed the bichir, and then pull out. They get used to it and it won't even stress em out anymore.
Thx ragin it would be too much of a p.i.t.a to get the divider in and out have a canopy on this tank.
What a nice fish! haha reminds me of one of my guys. Hes so thick and bulky and dies for food. Hes always hungry and doesn't let the others eat as much. I just throw in some big pellets for him and then some sinking pellets for my other fish and they get some. Hes grown like 5 inches in 3 months.
