Pearsie & Heterospilus growth thread

The pearsei and heterospilus are tank mates.

The argentea is alone with some dithers....cant keep him with anything else...even noncichlid tankmates havent worked. I wish his face mask would darken ...its one of my favirtote things about argentea

Pearsei is 7+ inches
Argentea is probably 5 to 6 inches
Het is close to 4 maybe

Thank xracer...tank is lightly stocked....a few others from a different tank

Had to evict an L600 from the tank. The pearsei really aggressive during feedings and would harrass the L600. They would constantly get into dust ups with the pearsei always being the aggressor but never able to damage the l600 due to all the spines that cover the body...evertime he would bite the pleco his lips and face would look like sand paper was run accross it.

Any way the other night the pearsei started again...this time the pleco went off and threw a beat down had to seperate them with nets. This was the morning after....he looked much worse the night before was even bleeding from inside his mouth.

The vid really doesnt show much but his lips are a lil swollen and raw...they are usually blue.

Quick vid of the crew. The pearsei is a chunky 8ish inches now. The het grows slower than the plants in there. Tank isnt staying bare bottom hate the look but real easy to clean.

Regret the pearsei yet? lol, they are characters! Fish are looking great!
