great looking growouts. I'm actually growing out the same species. 
I have one juvie pearsei that I picked up a week or so ago, the ~7.5" argentea that's in my avatar, and then I have a group of 5 juvie heterospilus.
So, needless to say, I like your selection. lol
Also wanted to say I'm glad I came across this thread. I was a bit concerned that maybe the pearsei I picked up was actually a bocourti. I didn't know when the brown/purple scales on the abdomen started to show but mine looks just like the first pics of yours so I'm feeling much better about that now.
ps. not that I don't like bocourti..actually a big fan..it's just that I already have one growing out in another tank.

We do have very similar tastes in fish. I used to have argentea as well but he was never able to coexist with other fish.
The pearsei was supposed to be a bocourti. My son didnt want to wait for the bocourti to be ordered so we went for the pearsei because it was available locally.
Be patient they take time time show potential but once they do the wait will be worth it.

thanks. I just got some lighting issues straightened out so I can start doing more videos of my tanks.
I did post one recently but it was of the tank that has my thorichthys sp. mixteco blues in it. well, that tank also has the pearsei for now as well.I've always liked both bocourti and pearsei so I'm ecstatic to have both now. I just didn't realize how similar they look at a small size, and the fear I had was also partly because the LFS I got the pearsei from also had bocourti in a nearby tank and I've noticed multiple instances of fish jumping from one tank to the next in that LFS. lol
I'm definitely a patient man...the bocourti, pearsei and the mixteco blues will take a bit of time to reach full color...especially the thorichthys...but once they do they'll all be amazing.
My only concern was that I really didn't want a 2nd bocourti since I have zero interest in breeding them...my goal was to have a nice showy male of each species.
