It only took 3 yrs but the pearsei and het are finally sharing a tank peacefully.
At 1st he was acting like an ass chasing her around especially when food was present. Hes really calmed down over the past month or so. Even eats with her side by side which is amazing for him.
They'll be the only cichlids in the 300 as i dont plan on pressing my luck further.

Real tough to get an accurate measurement on this guy but the congicus swimming just above him in the below pic is 17 to 18 inches long
Haha thx allot ! Im the guy that would have aggression issues with 2 angels in a 600 gal. Cichlid comms never worked out in the long run for me.
Though sometimes i think how cool a big tank with a bunch of smaller cichlids like cryptoheros or acara types would be
