"Pee pee water" .....

How do they indicate or show this?

In case of apistos and dwarf chichlids this effect of blackwater is very easily seen , they show off all colors and get ready for party.

Infact black water essence is a product.

basically any blackwater fish would love tannins in the water.

Well fish aren't made to be trapped in a box either lol whats a little clear water going to do that the glass box that there in is screaming in your face lol but all joking aside i like my tanks to feel as natural to them as possible, seems that you get to see more natural behavior from them, and they seem more at home IMO.

I pointed that out in my previous post, since their in aquariums its our job to replicate the rest of their environment as best we can.
