Peewee the Green Sunfish

peewee is getting bigger and bigger, and i have finally got a sunfish in the tank with him that he loves. Its a female green sunfish and redear mix i got from a buddy. And she eats anything in site. But heres the interesting thing, we talked about how to get peewee on pellets and the other day before feeding him nightcrawlers i put in cichlid gold for the oscars and peewee attacked then spit out the pellets but its a step in the right direction since before he wouldnt give them the time of day. heres some pics of peewee and the new sunfish who i havent named yet.
I think most Sunfish are easier to convert to pellet food than some of the Bass.
I found it easier to get my Bluegill to eat cichlid sticks than it was for my LMB to eat artificial food.
If your persistant, Im sure Pee Wee will submit to the pellet food.

here in about 1 month or so there will be some many in the creeks around here it will be ridiculous, i know of a creek that in the summer has thousands upon thousands of them in it about a half inch to 2 inches long
just stop feeding the fish live foods and keep feeding the other fish pellets. he will learn to eat the pellets i promise

sounds good, i caught some adult sunfish out of the river yesterday and they were already spawned out so here pretty soon after a big rain they will be back in the creeks
well i guess i was wrong about the creeks, today i got 3 green sunfish and heres a pic of the smallest one.
