It was "normal" before you added a new fish and changed decor.
By changing things you allowed for an entirely new hierarchy to form, where the 8 inch red hump ended up alpha.
And although you may think 90gal is sufficient for your fish, they may not think so.
If it was a 90gal 6ft tank, the footprint may have worked, but if its a normal tall 90, the footprint may be too small for that many substrate dwelling Geo's to share.
I agree with new world that the red hump group are more like Central Americans, than the less aggressive/passive S American Geophagini tribe species. Most Geo's wouldn't even contemplate sparing with a black belt. I have also kept the red hump group with Central American, that would easily destroy some of the more passive Geo types.
