I use Hikari Cichlid gold all varrities and floating food sticks.... just mix it up for a change.... also feed frozen prawns and live meal worm for treats and frozen blood worm cubes....
Pellet foods for arowana's?

Nice black david503bk. Just wondering, how long did it take you to convert your to take pellets? Its taking me forever to get my 5yr old Jar to accept pellets!
I didn't think he would ever eat pellets. But after a week he started eating some shrimp and some pellets. At about 10 days now he is eating at least 50 before he starts ignoring them.
I just got my silver recently, He was fed shrimp at the store all his life (6-7 inches).
I was feeding him about a dozen crickets a day to build up his appetite, then didn't feed him for a day then dropped in food sticks. He devoured them. Looks like I just got lucky...
Oh and I did try feeding him food sticks when I got him and but no luck.

I've owned two adult aros and had great success feeding Hikari Cichlid Gold. It's done great for their colors and they seem to love it. My roomate in college even got my first one (~20") to eat out of his fingers. I have recently m16oved to the AZOO arowana sticks successfully by feeding a 50/50 mix for about a month.
LFS knows I keep large tanks so likes to set me up with the larger sell backs they take when fish outgrow others tanks, so I also have a 16" ghost knife in my 120g which loves em too!
