Not really you just have to be persistent. Hikari Carnivore Pellets are one of the best. I would just stop feeding them whatever to are feeding them for 24-48hrs (the bichirs will be perfectly fine) and switch to the pellets, and keep with the pellets for awhile. Break them up accordingly for smaller bichirs.
shoot my WC bichirs from toyin only ate shrimp and tilapia haha. thinking about getting a endlixansorgii from my lfs but wanted it to be on a pellet only diet.

How long have you had them? If they are new, get some weight on them with the shrimp and tilapia. Once they have settled in, are eating regularly, and their color looks normal (could take a few weeks/months) then switch them to pellets.
LSF don't usually feed adequately to keep cost down, and newly imported fish are usually not fed for 3-4 days before shipment to reduce ammonia from excrement while in the bag to avoid DOA.
in this cases its easy to shift to different food types as they are hungry.
What are hard to break and needs to be starved, are the once that are well-kept, for example buying from other fish-keeper who had a particular regiment of non-pellet food.
