hi just got a question, i have 3 dats they're about 3-4in and out of the 3 only my silver has been eating pellets. i want to try alternatives besides starving. one way i heard was to stick a piece of pellet in shrimp and feed it to them but that sounds a little to pricey is there any other way. oh if it does help the other 2 are an indo and ntt

If loading shrimps with pellets is too pricey then u have no chance. The decent hikar pellets are expensive. Shrimp Is dam cheap in comparison.

The starving method is even cheaper as you don't feed anything during the starve.

Try marinating pellets with bloodworm
Overnight.

I got Indos that eat hikari: massive, carnivore, algea waifer, sturgeon pellet and cichlid gold

He is stable 24/7 , has been for 3 years.

Guess I was luckier

honestly if you can't afford market shrimp you shouldn't have dats. what type of pellets are you feeding Hikari? pound for pound Hikari is helluva lot more money than mp.

i got a big ass bag of shrimp but its not that i cant afford it its just that id rather eat it myself they'll eat everything else and i do feed um shrimp every now and then...ill try the blood worm marinating thing that sounds cool. and yea had them for 8 months when they were tiny as hell and they're all stable

i can afford i just would rather eat it myself. i have like a 5 pound bag of market shrimp, i had these guys for like 8 months already when they were tiny as hell. but yea hikari, its funny that my silver eats everything, massivors, aro sticks, algae waffers, shrimp, blood worms, earth worms, guppies, but the others just eat the shrimp, worms and guppies.

starve them and feed them every 2 weeks until they accept the pellets, some of my dats havent eaten in months and somehow are sitll managing to do just fine =/

when people say stave them they don't mean not offer any food you are offering pellets everyday its up to the fish if it wants to EAT OR DIE a fish in the wild cant be picky what it eats it has to eat what it can when it can

if the tiger was in the wild it would be foolish to only eat one kind of live fish it would eat what it can
