I have a little more unorthadox method, see if your dats will eat crickets. If they do then buy some quality pellet sticks that are brown in colour and mix a few pellets in with the crickets at feeding time, the dats will hopefully take the pellets by mistake and eventually learn to eat them. Over time reduce the cricket to pellet ratio. Takes a while but it got a picky rocket gar feeding for me.
My biggest NTT has been begging for food. When it does I've been throwing a few pellets in. Last night it took one. I think I'm not going to offer any of them MS and only offer pellets.
I was really surprised because on other attempts with other NTTs I've nearly killed them trying to get them on pellets.
