Hey guys,

My silver is around 3inch or so and he has taken a liking to pellets (also loves bloodworm)
I'm just wondering what is best for him at this size?
I'm feeding cichlid gold/blood parrot pellets and ofcourse bloodworm

Is pellets better or will bloodworms be better for him ?

Thanks,
Swarsh

Pellets are better their formulated with vitamins and minerals to support proper growth. Bloodworms aren't.

Agreed, use the bloodworm as a treat.

yep. read around here you will see better explanations. Blood worms serve as almost no nutritional value. Pellets is definitely best food.

Sweet, guess I'll just continue giving him pellets then... can't wait till he can get some massivores in him :P

Your aro will grow much faster and have better colors by eating pellets rather than bloodworms IMO. Pellets like Hikari have minerals and additives that will bring out the colors better than BW can.

Get hikari floating aro sticks (aka jumbo carnisticks) instead. Theyre much better for aros.

Though pellets are better feed both.

Make sure to feed floating pellets as a preventative measure so the Aro doesn't get DE. I have always had luck with Hikari products as well as anything from Ken's fish.
