i feed my bichir shrimp and mealworms but has anyone got one to eat floating pellets??

does anyone even have a surface feeding bichir?

sinking pellets are more practical, good old hikari carnivore pellets will do the trick

Interestingly, I do have one large (14") P. endlicheri endlicheri that will come to the surface to feed. He loves the Hikari Floating Carnivore Sticks once they've absorbed enough water to soften up a bit.

probably will go get some after my hikari gold is gone...my oscar is the only one that'll eat those though

My baby senegals come to the surface to eat floating pellets ... no-name brand! :D

my bichir ate off the top the second i put him in the tank, my africans went for the floating pellets and he took some too, he was also a big fan of the baby shrimp that floated too.
