pellets as food?

my bichir ate off the top the second i put him in the tank, my africans went for the floating pellets and he took some too, he was also a big fan of the baby shrimp that floated too.

mine will eat them from the top or bottom, doesnt matter

all 3 of my bichirs are now eating hikari gold as their main food.stopped feeding the greedy sods any other food about 4 days ago and within 24 hours,they were all up to the surface and eating the floating pellets.

mine go for sinking pellets but none of my fish even the cichlids will eat any floating food at all. they will snatch shrimp from the surface though! that is if they get there before the mbu and the auranti!
