I feed frozen food and pellets.
Most important thing if you feed pellets is, that the amount of protein and fat is 3 to 4 times as high as in fresh or frozen food. So do not feed as much pellets as the rays can eat!
For example protein content in your pellets 45% and protein in shrimp 15%. If you feed 100g shrimp the same amount of protein is in 33g pellets.

wow thats intreasting, sounds like pellets are like the protein powder of fish food!
thanks for the tip!

One additional note to ponder:

When feeding pellets it is much easier and often cleaner to cut back on the quantity fed by limiting the number of pellets per feeding.
Cutting back on frozen foods usually involves a knife, cutting board and refreezing of the food which may lead to food lost to freezer burn or other contamination. Plus the need to properly wash and dry the utensils after using them.
Food for thought.

Both frozen and pellets (massivore and carnivore). I try to stick mainly to frozen due to the fact that the pellets will create a little bit of a smell from the tank and carnivore will discolor your water a bit also. But there is alot of good in them
