pellets

Sounds like getting him to go for pellets isn't the problem. He just doesn't like the pellets you're offering him. My aros have always fed on AZOO arowana sticks. Give 'em a try.

mine did the same thing, it kept spitting it out wen it was small. try feeding it a couple pellets a day, or even starving it a day or 2 for it to accept pellets. took mine a few weeks to finally accept it.

Probably a special order. Drfosterssmith always has a decent deal on those. my aros actually prefer the Hikari aro sticks. Both my Jar and my black took to them very quickly.

Mine is the same size and also doing the same thing with the sticks and the pellets. He loves FD krill and crickets so I'll try a wing on the hikari sticks later.

give it some time and starve method works very well. my jar was 3" when i first got him and it was the same. gave it some time and now it eats hikari sticks right away at 4" and i give him blood worms after as a treat

this should work, but once he starts to eat the pellets i would begin to mix some other foods back into its diet. a variation in their diet is always a good idea.
