In canada you're not aloud to store ammo with the firearm, I would assume that you guys have a similar regulation.

Not at all. Kinda defeats the purpose of home defense "Hold on Mr. Badguy. I need to unlock this second safe that holds my ammo seperate from my firearms."

That Bed Vault is sexy. Would be nice to be able to open one up like that in a break in, pull out my own sawed off shotgun (which I believe is what he pulled out) and protect my wife, myself and my fish 8)

I like the concept but it needs to incorporate more space for ammo and magazine storage. Also, Im surprised he didnt mention how fire resistant it is.

I agree. I keep lots of ammo in my safe, not to mention my camera equipment which is worth more than my guns!

Hell there are four loaded guns in my house right now stowed in various places. One is in my pocket.

i got 3 "loaded"
they got a full clip laying beside them but not in them. clip with my wifes keltech, clip with my high point(10 rounds and 8 rounds respectivly, both 9mm) and 2 full clips with my ak(even if they are 5 and 10 round clips need to mod the gun to take high capacity clips)

we ride polar bears to work, we don't need guns.

Also, ammo doesn't need to be locked just the guns do with a trigger lock...or the bolt needs to be removed.
