There's a decent amount of you on here that own these and I'm considering investing in the 720 gallon...... Was wondering any pros or cons you may have encountered to share
Awesome tank for portability. M son and I can move the 420 without much effort. The tank is not the greatest for keeping bottom fish but,my mid-water swimmers look great in this style of aquarium.
They look nice!..... Any ideas on how to go about painting it black without it chipping or harming the fish?.... Also is the glass pretty clear to see thru and is the viewing window a decent size?
Might I ask why these tanks are not mentioned more on this forum.. Sandnukka15 you are really on to something here what would be the the price of the tank you are looking at. These tanks would solve the problem of losing friends when you need to move a tank. Oddball what would that 420 weigh empty.
Ive seen them pop up a decent amount throughout the years on the forum and they arent worth the $ unless you get at least the 270 gallon ....... the 720g is 2000 plus freight and shipping
I don't remember the shipping weight but, when my son and I moved it we had an easy time doing so. I figure it's around 200lbs.
I paid less than $650 delivered for mine due to it being a new product carried by aquaticeco at the time. I also bought a poly 650gal for $750 delivered. They've caught on since and the prices have really gone up.
Thanks both of you I imagine the exchange rate and shipping would kill us Canadians. Your tank looked pretty good though Oddball they are not that bad to look at. You would think the wieght savings might make people take a second look. Are there any other companies that build a similar product and may be cheaper.
They're all pretty much the same prices across different manufacturers. However, some of the larger ones, like Dolphin Fiberglass products, have reduced pricing from canceled orders, scratch & dent, and display/demo tanks.
Im in the same boat...... 4 hours from canada but 20 from florida where pentair is located shipping would prob kill me..... out of all the places ive looked at dolphin in Fl was the most expensive .... there is a manufacturer in MA but i cant rem the name or how their prices are
