Penthouse apartment for fish

I wonder if "convection" from the changing heat of the water would cause enough movement to prevent dead zones. It wouldn't take much methinks. Even a power head under it pointed it at the entrance would probably create some movement.

we started a thread along time ago about the "fish higways" I made one out of a 2.5 gallon aquarium to hook two tens together never had a problem with it leaking I even added fakes plants in the upper area and had a fish take the "penthouse" for himself I will see if I can find pics or the link

this was from almost two years ago was used to grow out some baby cichlids I know tank looks ditry but was filtered by a magnum 350 thats intake was in one tank and return in the other creating a current through the "highway"

it will deff wok the biggest prject u have is the actually supporting of "penthouse" above the tank... but besides that physics will do the rest of the work
