People, I need advice.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In addition to the small tank size, I'd be worried about the O harassing the EBJD.

hmm... I wasn't planning on upgrading. I treat my fish like my dog, I would never get lazy and not feed/do water changes. And I have the Ebjd in a 20g long right now, growing out, it's maybe 4 inches. I was gonna wait until it grew a few inches to introduce it to the oscar.

So it really couldn't work? :(

well, if your EBJD is 4 inches, you stand a pretty good chance of it working until you decide which one you like better, but only if you get like a 1 inch oscar when you get one.

Props to you for asking and listening to peoples experiences and not getting defensive though. Im sure whatever you do youll figure out whats best for your fish. Being 14 and asking ahead of time is more than most people 2x your age do.

Thanks :)

I'm not one of those people who's gonna go out and buy a fish just cause I think it's cool. I gotta make sure it will get along with my current stock, tank size, etc.

*sigh*

I'm currently keeping an Oscar 12in and a JD 6+in in a 75 so it is possible with a lot of filtration but I wouldn't recommend it. In fact, the only reason I'm doing it is because the O was a rescue who was a lot worse off before. I think I just got lucky with two fish who are pretty peaceful towards each other. However, like I said before I wouldn't recommend it. They really do need more space.
