Dan Feller;2674641; said:Burro is the Spanish word for donkey. A mule is a sterile (usually) donkey/horse hybrid
sykofrenic;2674372; said:they ARE killing them humanely, there are all kinds of government protocols they have to follow when working with live animals, and euthanesia rules are particularly strict. and whats so bad about selling horse meat if its from "un-usable" animals? we sell cow meat, and sheep meat and goat meat? what do you think is in store brand dog food?
and again, WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT RIDING HORSES. the stallion you mentioned has no relevance to this FERAL HORSE discussion

When i am riding my Chugger and i see a rocky area coming up.. i say to her..go slow with me here... nice... and she starts to tip toe through.. when my ride is done.. i get down from the saddle and i put my arms around her neck and hold her tight..smelling in her beautiful fur... and she nuzzles me with her nose.. i have total respect for a huge animal who listens to all my commands and gave me a ride through woods and pasture like we were free... like we were one... glorias feeling when you have that confidence together... here are some pics of those wild horses... magnificient animals..Louie;2674840; said:I agree they all deserve respect but what is it about horses you like?
A dog I can see as your dog loves you and will die protecting you but a horse to me is like a glorified cow.
Cant fathom a horse caring about his/her owner.
I have never owned a horse but can't fathom them being better than a cat. In fact parrots I place way higher than horses.
