We don't charge for beaches but a good chunk of the beach access is within state parks so you'll pay to park (or buy a yearly pass for 20-40 bucks)
That's insane! I thought it was the state charging the fee, since it's state property/resourceLots of beaches in Jersey charge entry and it is not the state that is charging.
Yea you don't have to pay before Memorial Day and after Labor Day don't go to jenkensons aquarium though. I was there last week. Only a couple red belly piranhas and some angelfish for freshwater
Doesn't the state have Park and Recreations dept to handle those issues? Not really private but some townships charge an entry fee to help with cost of lifeguards, beach maintenance and so forth.
My kids and I like to go in the water everytime we go to the beach. We don't go to beach to play sand. There's sand box for that purpose. What does water have to do with the beach though? You'll spend more time in the sand then in the ocean
Same as in California. In Jersey, I had to pay toll when drive to the beach, pay to park, pay if I want to enter the beach, pay toll to drive home. And I was thinking to move there, for the sake of stingray and Pirahna keeping, but that dream went out of the window, since wife and kids wouldn't give up the beach for some stupid fishWe don't charge for beaches but a good chunk of the beach access is within state parks so you'll pay to park (or buy a yearly pass for 20-40 bucks)

Fortunately, I didn't go there. My kids rather go on the rides. My nieces went there and she was excited to see they fed a mouse to a tiny snake. I told her I didn't know she likes that. I would record when I fed my 8-ft Argentine boa gulped a 6-lb rabbit

Umm...same as where the bridge toll revenue goes? It's Jersey where do you think the majority of this money goes.
That's not correct, the tolls are charged only when you want to get off of the turnpike at any of the exits.jlnguyen74 that's your gripe with NJ? My gripe would be what is up with setting up a toll every freaking mile on the New Jersey Turnpike(?)
Things must of changed then. Back in 1992, Friends and I drove down to Wildwood for the weekend and got stuck at every single toll. We had to pay at every single one of them in addition to crawling in the weekend bumper to bumper shore trafficThat's not correct, the tolls are charged only when you want to get off of the turnpike at any of the exits.
Is it still set up like that, Senor Tom?That's the Parkway you're thinking of.
