Keep up the good work!
Far as I know, all of these fish are found in south america, and I cannot continue to emphasize that I already know everything you keep trying to point out to me to make me look bad. Good try, though. And he was active due to tank change ... obviously.RTC are nocturnal thus you should never really see him active during the day given the proper environment. Also Hiding places are a must for catfish. Incredible, He should out grow the 300gal before his first birthday....If hes growing at the rate you state he will 2ft+ by then. These things are monsters. I would also take any other fish you dont want to get eaten out of that tank, they will get eaten. Esp the rays if your RTC goes to swallow one it will kill him and the ray. Thats the reason i took my adonis pleco out of my tank. He will soon swallow and eat anything he can fit in mouth.
Also I try not to mix non-native species. The RTC is from the Amazon which has more species then anywhere else in the world. For some reason Native fish look better all together to me. Like for chichalid I first thought Oscars then chose the P-bass due to the whole Amazon thing. From reading your thread Im guessing one day you will have a tank 700G+, you should consider making it an all amazonian tank.

It's highly doubtful that he will eat them. I just got the 314g in today and it will be up in the next couple of weeks. They are all transferring over there.
Before, when Pep was a baby, he was in with a severum who is still alive, and was easily eatable. The oscars and rays are too big for his mouth now and will remain that way until he outgrows this new tank.
