never had barqs, but I will jump on it as soon as the opportunity presents itself. have you had a sweaty cold bottle of IBC?
it's funny as hell to me because I never drink rootbeer. only have it maybe once a year if even that until IBC came into my life. i'm telling you, I will never drink A&W again
IBC is good.
I've never been into barqs root beer since I could never have it as a kid (caffeine).

never heard of spretcher or hansens rootbeer
we got other hansens drinks but not rootbeer that I've ever seen. don't think we can get spretcher here. would love to try it some day

Sprecher doesn't make it out of Wisconsin very much because it's a Milwaukee micro-brewery but everything they do is awesome. Rogue is the same way but at least they distribute further. I'm a fan of their voodoo doughnut special recipe.
