Can try it prazipro just in case it’s flukes.

I wouldn’t double dose it. It’s based of off concentration in the tank. Fritz makes it easy to dose. The levamisole powder from eBay were a pain to dose. Can add salt, 1 tsp per g.

Gotcha…no choice then no choice. Do what you can not. Who knows state of the fish before you got it.

oh, apologies for the misconception, i mean dosing both expel-p and other meds or basic aquarium salts at the same time, not double dosing the concentration of expel-p

not sure if flukes would have this effect on the fish but ill try it as the expel-p will arrive in two days

I've had the perch for 2-3 months already, during the time he was extremely healthy and ate well, unfortunate to see him like this right now but I doubt the issue was from the seller. with this long a period the origin of cause has to be from my own tank

the video I sent shows him still active when I approach him, but he just skirts away before falling back down. Good to see him still with some form of energy though, not sure if I should keep him fasted or try feeding again

Your water temps are quite high.
In the Yangtze River where they are native, water temps hover around 50'F in winter, and only rise to about 68"F in summer (22"C)
of course if its a southern river section morph, it could take slightly higher temps.
But...///If it is an Amur river variant, it will do best in even lower temps.

i pushed the temp down a bit yesterday, 78 is its current standing, ill look for a medium for it between my other fish as he's a permanent mainstay

unfortunately it’s getting worse, the presumed fluke or bacterial infection is making his gill plate white, just dosed praziquantel in the tank.

damn shouldn’t done it yesterday but i was hellbent on waiting for expel-p

perhaps he seems a little better after administering praziquental, expel-p arrives today but unsure whether i should transfer him into a qt with expel p or leave him in the main with the praziquental for longer

i wonder if i should redose tommorow, the label says to redose every three days but praziquental degrades in just 24/48 hours and i wonder if the situation is dire enough to call for it. not sure how hurtful praziquental effects on fish are though in repeated short doses

I’ve redose prazipro on sick fish and no issues. I’d redose. Can always add half doses at a time and watch till full dose given.
