i was at a local pond and i almost shat myself when i was trying to catch guppies, i spit into the water and scooped it fast... LOOK what i got instead!!

for a fish that runs for $2.00 at all in LFS i wonder why i buy fish at all!! no kidding on how rabbit-like these guys are!

i was in the shallow end so i was hoping for guppies, instead catching LOADS of juvi convicts and tilapia with SPIT!! ROFLLLLLL it was almost 7:00 pm on a camera phone so sorry for the lighting... and i swiped the net several times with the same results!

yea its a pretty common not so secret "trade secret" for catching half-brained guppies. usually only guppies (most small tetra ie: swordtails, mollies etc) come rushing toward the floating spit to try and eat it.

usually convicts are smarter than that because i had a VERY hard time catching them in another place, especially as babies, usually very illusive to just a scoop of the net and spit.

oh by the way, how fast do convicts take to go from fry to mature reproductive adult?
 
Nice catch. I wish those were readily available near me. That is a feeder fish buffet.

the ones in the net look big enough to breed
 
.......thats fippin jaw dropping bro, im from NY and never new spitin in water can catch any kinda fish......and a con at that daym thats sweet.....
